FencePost Privacy Policy
FencePost is built so that this policy can be short.
What we collect
Nothing. FencePost has no accounts, no server, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs. Your sites, sessions, deductions, settings, and audit log are stored only on your device. We never see them, and neither does anyone else through us.
Location
Location access is optional. If you allow it, iOS watches for your phone crossing the boundaries of worksites you defined and tells FencePost only "entered" or "exited," and FencePost writes down the time. FencePost does not record routes, movement history, or any coordinates other than the pins you placed on the map. Location information is processed on your device and never transmitted. If you deny or revoke location access, FencePost works fully as a manual tracker.
Reports and sharing
Reports (text, PDF, image) are generated on your device and go only where you send them, through the iOS share sheet. FencePost transmits nothing on its own.
Purchases
FencePost Pro is a one-time purchase processed by Apple. Payment is handled entirely by Apple under Apple's terms and privacy policy; FencePost receives no payment or identity information.
Backups
Your record is included in your normal device backups under your control. The Export Archive feature produces a file of your complete record that you may store or share as you choose.
Children
FencePost is a work time-tracking tool and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the effective date above will change with it, and material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
